Ohnotthisagain

I know what bullet lists really are. They're what happens when you have so many things to blog about, but you're too lazy tired to go into any great detail about them. They're an avoidance of deeper thought, analysis of a subject, and the fear of losing all of those opinions you think the world is just waiting to read. Can't fool me...

1  Have you ever lost track of a blog that you really liked, but didn't realize they weren't in your blogroll until a long time later? And then you spent about an hour hunting them down in Google? Yeah, me too.

2  I seriously think I'll never get these Christmas desecrations taken down. I think it's going to be like painting the Golden Gate Bridge: once I reach the end of it, I'll have to go back to the beginning. I just don't have the energy, and I have web work to do and my book(s) to write. Some days life feels like Mt. Everest. Today is one of them.
3  Outside of driving a city bus, I can't think of a job I'd dislike more than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. No sense of accomplishment, cold, windy. I guess you can't beat the view though.
4  Kelly, at Byantium's Shores, asks a question of his readers that I'd like in turn ask you: How did you find this blog?

  2. Actually, I found you, wooed you, and here you are. When I read your site, Chasing Vincenzo, I actively pursued you. It didn't work until I joined the Roundtable (wish you'd bring that back, by the way).

    So there.

  3. I did one of these "where did I find your blog" posts a while ago, but I think it was before I started reading your blog.

I think I read RW's crap thru Avitable) before your crap (hehe), so maybe I saw one of your comments on one of his old sites and came a runnin'. I really don't remember. But, after skimming your archives, it appears I started reading your blog around March of 2008.

  4. I remember when you first appeared. Because of that weird-assed bug-eyed avatar you used, I always pictured you as tall, thin and dark--sort of Goth looking. Hahaha

  5. I'm pretty sure I came to you from Susan's "Back Door Logic").

  6. I'm trying to remember...and drawing a blank. So I'm guessing it involved a rowboat, a vinyl copy of Sgt Pepper's, and three bottles of rum.

(OK, I think you found me first. But my version sounds more interesting than "I followed a link in my own comments"!)

  7. As I said on your blog, I found you through Lynn of Violins & Starships. I liked your writing and the Unidentified Earth thing you had going. I think it was called that...

  8. I can't recall if I've ever lost track of a blog or not. I just put them all on my ridiculously big links page where I end up neglecting most of them because I can't read 200 blogs every day. Sometimes I'll delete a blog from the list because they haven't posted anything in months then much later I'll accidentally come across it somewhere and find out that they have been posting again for quite some time and I'll feel bad for all I've missed out on.

I can't remember for sure but I think you found me first.

  9. You hit my site accidentally, looking for new coffee cups. I then checked you out. *se non e' vero, e' ben trovato* ;-)
