Be-Attitude: Be Thankful

I was sitting on some new and exciting news all last night, but I finally have to let it out. See that shiny, sleek, glossy thoroughbred there? It's mine.

This has been an extraordinary week. The Universe, God, or whatever you want to call it, has been working overtime in our behalf, not the least of which was my receiving this beautiful Toshiba Satellite laptop as a gift! Between it and my incredible workhorse of a Dell desktop, I have everything I need to do my work like a real, live, super-sonic pro. It even has a 10-key pad, which I've sorely needed.

I was up all night making my way around Vista, and doing all the things one has to do when transferring data files. I'll be at it all day today, but I wanted to drop in and share this with you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've got the same laptop. And I heart Vista too. But don't get me started on Office 2007. Hate it.

Very cool to get a new computer!

I'm such a Luddite that I did everything I could to make XP look and act like '98 -- which I made to look and act like '95. With any luck I won't have to get a new computer until the next generation operating system comes out.

Wow...it sure is purrdy!! I love getting new laptops. I've got two here at home and one at the office. My 7 year old has taken over my old one. He's so funny..he'll stop watching cartoon network on television...to go to cartoonnetwork.com...to watch cartoons.....

I keep saying that it's the black Jaguar XKE of computers. Looks like a sleek, purring sports car.

Deni, you bust me up!

Vista is taking some getting used to, but all-in-all I like it. It's kind of like coming back to work after a vacation, going to the file cabinets and thinking, "Where the heck did they put everything!?"

24 hours later and I've almost got it down, although trying to install my "Sims" games (which didn't work) knocked out the Chess, Mahjong, Solitaire, Freecell, and Spider Solitaire. Damn!

Congrats on the laptop. I love mine - I much prefer the portability of a laptop to a desktop. I like being able - when I'm "in funds" - to take it to Panera bread and do my homework there. My laptop has Vista too and I really like it much better than Windows XP (although, I had to set the control panel on the classic view because the classic view is easier for finding things.) What size screen does yours have,Steph?
Have you seen the little netbooks? Those are so cool, although they're mainly just for internet/e-mail stuff and photos. Still, you can plug a flash drive into them for more storage. Neat things!

I got the numeric keypad too, for data entry jobs.

It's a 17-inch screen.

This is really great! I am rejoicing for you! Take note on that! :D

Wow that is gorgeous!

I have the 17-inch screen, too. I love it for Excel work. I don't have to tediously scroll back and forth across the spreadsheet, because now I can see the entire thing without scrolling.
