Is anyone else in this area having trouble with pages loading slowly, or not coming up at all? We're on Chickasaw's DSL and we're not sure if it's just us, or not.
This picture is a map of the internet, as realized last June by Bar Ilan University in Israel. It's beautiful, but looking at it I have to tell myself to be patient if things hang up from time-to-time.
Interesting image.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who is at the center of the universe?
Oh that's easy, that would be me.

Oh LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe image above shows the hierarchical structure of the Internet, based on the connections between individual nodes (such as service providers). Three distinct regions are apparent: an inner core of highly connected nodes, an outer periphery of isolated networks, and a mantle-like mass of peer-connected nodes. The bigger the node, the more connections it has. Those nodes that are closest to the center are connected to more well-connected nodes than are those on the periphery.

Not that that answers your question, Geologyjoe. :/
Chickisaw has been having problems, my wife's work uses them and they have had a couple of issues. First they had a hardware failure, and then their system was hacked, but it should be fixed and back up now. Both of these issues is what the IT dept told my wife, other than that I have no proof that is what happened.
