I've actually had two full nights of great sleep. I've been going to bed before 2:00, and it feels great. One of the reasons is that I've learned to resist the after-dinner nap. Another is not drinking iced tea after about 7:00. I don't know how long this will last—I've done it before—but for now, it feels pretty good.
It's been effing hot this week. Yesterday it got to 102°. That's too hot. Can't even use the hammock in that kind of heat.

And I ran the weed eater and mowed last night after I got off work, yea, it was hot!
Oh, man!
Tonight I may get to help pull a well at the inlaws place
Lucky you! :^/
Hot for us here is high 80s to low 90s - I simply can't imagine temps in the 100s!! I really wish I had the money for central air but it's too expensive right now. I think I will splurge on a window ac unit for the bedroom at least. Either that, or move to International Falls, Minnesota where snow in June or July isn't unusual! haha
Yes, I have a great aunt in Oregon who is stifling in the heat (80°) and I tell her to turn on the A/C. To which she replies no A/C... Northern States listen to us mid and southern states, A/C is a neccessity!
I never had it, living in California. Sometimes it gets to 100 or so, but I wasn't used to AC, so I never really needed it. Now, I'm completely dependent. AC is like nasal spray: once you start using it, you have to use it. If you stop, you're really miserable for a while.
Our summers here in southeastern MI tend to vary from year to year. Last year it was mostly temps in the 70s with a couple of days here and there where it got up to 90. This year it looks like it's going to be hotter than last year. It be's like that sometimes. It's Michigan - what more can I say? haha
