Friendship, Old and New

I don't usually post on Sundays anymore, but this weekend was go great that I just wanted to share it a little.

A friend of Nettl's, whom she hasn't seen in 20 years, came to stay with us and it has been the best weekend we've had in a long, long time. Her friend, Debi, and I hit it off like gang busters and were up talking until nearly 3:30 a.m. last night. I'm really sorry to see her go this afternoon, but I have a feeling we'll all be seeing each again soon.

There's nothing like making a connection like this. Isn't it a thrill when we find someone who gets us?

Thanks for your kind words and good advice over at WM.

Yes, I love those rare moments when I meet someone that feels very familiar, and then the connection is made. Debi and Nettl were best friends all through high school; it was wonderful seeing them together and actually fitting in.

I think it's called serendipity -- and it's awesome, isn't it?

Wow!! How cool. I hope I get to meet her. She even spells Debi the RIGHT way :-)

We talked a lot about how Nettl and I both have a "Debi". You'd love her, by the way. She's a definite Bohemite.

It was nice to meet her. Though I only heard bits in passing, I haven't heard conversations like the ones you had since the Camarillo days!

There are a couple of people I'd really like to reconnect with, but at this point it's fate!
How nice for all of you!!
