Good News to Report

Yesterday was a rough one for me health-wise, but I’m happy to report that I’m feeling very well now and my eyes aren’t bothering me a bit, outside of being just a little swollen and sore. Nettl was my angel of mercy all day and it is because of her tender care that I’m feeling practically back to my usual self while she enjoys some well-deserved sleep. The kids are with their dad for the weekend; they come home tomorrow afternoon...

During my semi-delirium yesterday, my dream state was full of music. I dreamed that I was composing a piano concerto, and the music was wonderful. I still remember certain phrases, but I’m afraid it is destined to remain in my world of dreams. Still, it was great to be playing the piano as I can only do in dreams. If only I played that well when awake. Still, at least I play like that somewhere!

  1. I have those dreams once in a while, too. In the best ones, I am a powerful tear-evoking singer (quite opposite to the real me, lol). I’ll occasionally remember parts of the music but it’s always a day when I have to go to work and hence don’t have time to transpose them. They are, of course, long lost by the time I get home. Though I’ve never managed to successfully carry over any music, I know the dream music influences my work, if only subconsciously.

  2. I think you’re right about the subconscious influence. Interesting.
