I was in Cushing on the 4th~luckily the rain stopped just before dark.
Of course, it was so humid and windless afterward that when we lit the fireworks, the backyard became a huge smoke-fogged mess that we could barely see through.
I’m fine now. All the bugs were fixed and all is well. It’s just life. And we watched the fireworks last night (they were postponed till then) from the comfort of our own neighborhood (and a tumbler of iced wine).
All is good. Thanks for the sympathy! Sometimes, that’s all you need.
